Compliance - Data Protection Specialist (Ref: 496261781)

An exciting opportunity waits for an experienced Data Protection Officer. Working within the Compliance department of a successful Financial Services firm, it will be your responsibility to ensure that the firm has the proper processes and governance structure in place to mitigate data privacy risk.

Responsibilities include:
*Represent the firm as its Data Protection/ Privacy Officer and liaise with clients and regulators on data protection matters
*Design and implement Privacy training, education and awareness for management and staff.
*Assist in developing an effective Privacy communications program.
*Manage Privacy legislative and regulatory tracking and assessments.

Ideally you will have/be:
*Substantial Data Protection and Privacy experience is essential, preferably for a Financial Institution.
*Previous experience in the transfer of data between the UK and other global regions
*Strong analytical skills in terms of data interpretation.
*Excellent communication, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills.
